agreed. heres the parts i got local at advance auto. and if you look around you can find some very nice coupon codes to make it even cheaper. its already $20 cheaper then hughes and maybe another $15-20 off with a coupon and you pick it up in store (if its in stock)

accel rotor
accel cap
autolite plug wires
champion spark plugs

Oh, and btw. If I go off your name, since you have not added ANY info about your truck. I just realized you MIGHT have a V10. If that's the case, forget the plenum issue, because v10's don't have the problem. However, I suggest you read the 2 stickies below it.

Default Cap, Rotor and Wires

I am looking at MSD Ignition wires, rotor and cap. Cap and rotor have brass contacts (no aluminum), and wires are 8.5 mm. Anyone have any experience with MSD? Good - Bad?

Disclaimer: Silly Question I bet.

How often to change cap/rotor/wires? I would guess differently from plugs and this is really based on nominal operation. (sheepish as I just found that I had all this done 2.5 years ago for 90K service).

The gibs are welcome. :P


Edit: something like 40K I've seen around

You should get a Haynes manual, there is a full maintenance schedule in it.
