How do you use your truck? Towing/hauling? Off-roading? Mostly unloaded? Drag truck? Other??

high stall is for racing, so you can rev the sob up to about 3500 before you let off the brake. this sucks for towing the boat....

lower stall speed is for getting your load moving asap.

i think the best advice i read was to match the torque range of the engine, and i notice that mine pulls ok around the 1800 rpm range and tends to suck at 1500.

i see you have a 5.2. anyone know the stock stall speed on that?

Best guesses I've seen online are 1800-1900 rpms.

I have been told that the stock tc is very sloppy, and a good aftermarket one even at the stock stall would see a nice improvement off the line.

I use it for towing/hauling, nothing too serious just some 4-wheelers up to the deerlease and such, and livestock. But I'm also aiming to have that "sleeper" truck if you know what I mean, the one that doesn't look like it has much, but when I take off from that red light its like da**! haha

Yeah, 1600-1900 RPM sounds like it would be a good idea for ya.
