Default Mechanic in Sacramento, CA

So I take my '01 Ram 1500 4WD in for front brakes. Then get a call saying they can't test drive it because it has excessive smoke coming out of the tail pipe!!

It looks like I need a mechanic in the Sacramento area any ideas?

5.9 with 141k on it.

Jeff

Was it smoking when you brought it in?

Then I would be making them fix it, if they already did the brakes.

If it was smoking when they went to put it on the lift they should have called then

going to have a word with them now. I have not seen it yet. I was just trying to be a little proactive. I'm gonna tell them. It wasn't smoking when I brought it in!

Got typical we did the brakes had nothing to do with the motor. They didnt take it for a test because u could hear the metal rubbing.

So first thing I checked the oil, looks normal, started it have very severe smoke out the tailpipe shut it down.

Now what.
