New 97 Ram owner, couple of issues
#11
ok, I got the vacuum line all fixed up with tubing, but on a jaunt out today, the vents were acting a bit weird, so I'm going to change both check valves.
I bought an o-ring and put it on the transmission dipstick housing. No leaks, but the truck was acting a bit sluggish at times, so I'm thinking I need to drain the tranny fluid and put in ATF 4+, as it probably doesn't have that right now.
Any thoughts?

Get the PCV valve from the dealer?
I got one from Autozone, dropped it in, and it doesn't feel sluggish anymore. I also found some vacuum check valves to address my "wacky vents" issue.
I'm hoping I don't have to change the plenum, but I am going to check on it tomorrow with the magnet test, the mirror test, and see what happens.

my wacky vents were fixed for a little while, and now they've come back. I'm going to check the new CVs, but I imagine that I've developed a vaccumm leak somewhere.
Another small issue that has popped up. The 4WD light comes on. If I shift into 4WD, then back to 2WD, it turns off, but then will come back on in about 5 minutes or if I turn off the engine. Is this the sensor acting crazy or what?
