Try pulling the heat shields off to make getting to them easier.

Vise grips, pull, wiggle, twist. They can be a pita to get out.

Well update, schools starting next tuesday and i am going to be doing things to my truck since i have all of my credits... Will be doing my own exhaust i think. should be alot cheaper. any idea what steel to use? or if anything i could coat it with so it wouldnt rust? and well i got bad news after a check up from J&D service... well i have a bad fuel pump that is causing fuel to drain back causing long and excessive cranking time... well going to go see if they have a fuel tank and pump at Bud jones junk yard lil far away but o well... going to see my friend said they sold em one for his ford for 45$s...

The pump isn't bad, the pressure regulator on top of it is. They are available from Autozone, $55

Plenum?

Timing chain and gears?

(neither of those are two hour jobs though...)

Headers?

Y-pipe?

Fix the broke stuff?

Polish up the headlights? (they are yellowed, aren't they?)

The y pipe is after the headers and before the cat. It's a huge restriction on these trucks, according to this forum. From past reading I would suggest changing that first before the headers
