Pulling my tranny this evening....
Well got the valve body completed. Only downfall is I put the purple spring in the throttle plunger circuit...it's supposed to add a slight delay to your shift points...we'll see. Got the pan on, everythings painted black. Working on the check valve, freeze plugs, and the cooler line flush...just trying to tie up some loose ends here. Would you guys like me to do a full writeup on here? If so, should I post a new thread or just post it in here? If I do start a new thread, I'll probably do it late at night so there's minimal interruptions by eager question askers. I wouldn't intend on it being a Q&A thread and I wouldn't want people bashing me because of how I did my rebuild. I took over 500 pictures during this process although I wouldnt post nearly that many. I really went in depth on the step by step on the valve body. Let me know what ya'll think...
So how are you gonna clean the trans lines? MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THEM OUT VERY WELL!!! I thought I did, but it turned out that I still had some small metal flakes floating around. Also, I installed a remote trans filter...good cheap insurance.
I got 2 for mine. Mine had the tow package so it goes through the radiator and an external cooler. I'm thinking one can would be plenty, I just bought the second one for next time I wanna flush the lines. Or in case I was wrong and needed more than one.
Its ok. I still had questions but when I went to reply to your remark about the purple spring in the V/B, it said your pm box was full. Thanks for everyones help on this...I hope to have it running soon. So all I have to do is pound in two new freeze plugs and I'm also gonna remove the valve body one more time and reinstall the OE throttle spring with maybe a shim. I wasn't aware the purple spring drops your line pressure. So with just the purple spring installed, it drops the line pressure by 28psi. Purple spring plus 3 shims drops it 7psi. I guess I just dont see why someone would want to drop their line pressure. Unless they wanted super early shifts.

So close....Now I'm thinking my converter isn't seated fully because I'm about a half an inch from seating on the dowels. Dang it! I don't wanna have to pull it back off the jack, back out from under the truck just because the converter moved out slightly...I suppose it's a no-no to use the bell housing bolts to draw it in, eh?
