Try and insert the cross member from above where it mounts, and pull it down into position if you can.

Someone needs a manual, Haynes or look in the FAQ section for a free FSM. Those bolts you see are holding the TC to the flexplate. And yes , you should remove them and the crank sensor.

It's all good, read through the DIY section stickied at the top. Theres manuals and tons of links. So I finally got the cross member in this morning. Just had to get the tranny jack out from under the tranny and put the cross member in from the front of the frame. It was super easy just using a floor jack with a cut 4x4 in the recess of the cross member to lift it in front of the mounting spot, then just slide it all rearward. No hammers involved.

Thanks bud. No one ever said it was gonna be easy, thats for sure...=P But I have a few things I need to address before I can put it all back together...namely the ujoints and transfer case. And I'm broke till' friday so. I can button a couple things up like the CPS, linkages, cooler lines, and case connectors but I wont be finishing it up this weekend. Dang, wish I wouldn't have cut my exhaust...lol

I am going to replace U Joints as well. I hate putting things together with used parts. I know PO didnt replace them - so they may be original. PO did have to replace cat about 6 months ago. Since I got lamed up, I worked on kegger mod (picked one up at wrecking yard). Have it all cut, sanded edges, cleaned up. Plate should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. I'll have it on the shelf ready when I get a chance to put it in.

I have to pace some of this work too to be able to budget for it.
