Lookin' good! My Tacoma is 4wd, but I hardly ever use it. No mountains, not much ice and snow, and in this drought - no mud! It ahs a 5 speed manual trans, 260k on the odo, and solid. Love that truck. Hoppe to have the Ram in good shape soon. I enjoy working on things - but glad my Toy doesn't require much work! Hate to have daily drive down.

How many quarts of fluid did you have to put in? Manual says 19 to 20 on rebuild. I could not get but 15 in there.

Haven't crossed that bridge yet. I was debating on installing a drain plug so I havent filled her up yet. I'm currently struggling with the damn CPS wiring. It doesnt seem to have much play in the wiring and its really hard to get it to reach the female end of the plug. I'm about to move on and address that later.

The cranks sensor wire has to go around the tranny dipstick tube a certain way for it to reach.

And there is so little room there, the back of my hands look like I was trying to stuff a cat into a coffee can. I also had trouble getting mine to go in....so a little trans gel on it made it go in much easier.

That could be alot of the problem.
Overfilling can cause foaming which inturn means you could be sucking air
instead of fluid.

I am thinking of draining some into a clean container and refilling as needed.

That would be a good idea.... the fluid that gets air whipped into it does not lubricate worth beans, and the air is compressible, so the hydraulics don't work as they should either.
