As far as the fuel pressure test goes, don't just check it at idle, rev the motor. However, since it's a rebuild I think HeyYou might be on to something.

Hey guys sorry I haven't posted it's been a crazy week here. Anyway fuel pressure stays at 43psi throughout the whole rpm range. Vacuum Is 30 at idle and once I give it some gas it drops to 10-8 and stays there. Could a valve be held open?

You have some serious vacuum at idle...... Did you install your cam straight up?

I lined up the timing marks between the cam and crank sprocket. The gauge I have is a sunpro vac/boost gauge it reads 0-30 on the vac side and I just about had the gauge pinned

Does your timing set have multiple marks? Or, is it one way only?

Are the sprockets not suppose to have the notches both at 12 oclock ? Putting the cam sprocket at 6 and the crank at 12 is #6 tdc.

It's a dual roller set from mopar performance I have it set on the stock timing marks but I do have the option to advance or retard 4 degrees. It's a Hughes cam and the specs are 208/214 @50 lift 512/520 lift and 114lsa it does thump pretty good at idle more then I was expecting. The timing chain was installed with the cam sprocket ting mark facing down and the crank mark facing up at the cam sprocket timing mark I had my engine builder freind help me with this, he built a couple mopar small blocks so I'm
Confident the cam and crank timing is on

Like I said, I think you have it at #6 tdc. Maybe this will help.
