Default back with horrible news

the time has come to sell the truck..i cant fix it up the way i want to..and after turning 21 recently i went to renew my license and the dmv told me that i need to go to a neurologist to get checked out before than can renew my license..

the reason they want me to see a head doctor is cause from 95-01 i had serious problems with seizures and before they renew my license for good they wanna make sure that i wont be having another seizure for a long time..i havent been medicated for over ten years..and there worried that im going to have another one

so unfortunately i have no choice

Wow, that really sucks man. Truck looks pretty good though, should be able to get what you want for it. Why does it have to be towed?? (might wanna add that little tidbit in your craigslist listing as well....)

if there was any way to patch up the filler neck or replace it from junkyard, AND be able to remove the "need to be towed" part of your ad - you'll get a lot better price for it than as is.

being towed is going to hammer the price.

well..id love to have it start and leave under its own power, but theres no way to put fuel into the truck at the moment..as the 36-38" fuel filler neck that came on the truck was pitted all the way up it

and i new fuel filler neck off ebay is about 80 to my door or i can get one at napa for 125 down the street, then it would start and leave under its own power

but thats just not in the cards, i have no job, no money and no one who is willing to help me out on this..id love to see it leave under its own power but without a new fillerneck that isnt gonnna happen

Is the one on the truck full of holes? Or is it just surface rust? Can you wrap it with something so the gas actually goes into the tank?? (I have done fiberglass repairs on radiator hoses before...... in an emergency......)

Maybe a wrecking yard. Shouldn't be more than $10 or $15 I would think.

Why sell the truck before you know you can't get your license renewed? I would go to the Dr and see what they say before I sold my truck.

Couldn't you temporarily replace the neck with some rubber hose like radiator hose or something?

Needs to be able to withstand fuel. I don't think radiator hose meets that criteria.

radiator hose would work for a little while. maybe a year... better than an old one with holes in it.
