i wouldnt leave it open to have it open, it was nice to have a cutout to have it loud whenever. if your around cops all day and see one close it was nice to have the option to close it inside and they wouldnt know. plus getting up and coming home late i would have it closed and have it open during the day. if i had it open at night my parents said they could hear me till i got home 5 mins later lol .
oh it was nice when i had a light to light race little ricers and fords and chevs would be ****ting them selves lol

You are only getting a reading from the pre cat o2 from one bank though.
Not a big deal, these aren't race engines.
One thing worth note, if the O2 is anywhere near the end of the header opening, it will read very lean at low RPMs. I once moved my truck around the driveway with just the y-pipe, my wideband was pegging lean because it was so close to the end of the exhaust and contacting fresh air.
Again, not a big deal. The O2 isn't used at WOT anyways (narrowband sensors are useless for anything other than stoich). The AFRs from each bank should be plenty close enough.
