Just make sure you keep an eye on that oil gauge, or you'll be spendin a h*ll of alot more. And, as we all know, these trucks take enough cash already.

haha yeah 80-90 bucks just in gas a week. yeah i watch that gauge with eagle eyes! its been doing pretty good so far today. shes gonna be sitting again for the next couple days so i can REDO the water pump, advance sold me a dud.

I know the feelin. 25,000 miles in 1 year plus 13-15 mpg equals diggin for change for anything else. Let alone any repairs.

i havent even put 25k on my truck in the almost 2 years of owning it.

getting ready to order the thing for the oil pressure issue. should i replace the oil pump drive shaft, and should i go with the high volume pump or just the plane jane oe replacement pump?

I don't remember, but have you tried replacing the oil pressure sensor first?

well the wife is buying the stuff for me, so im just going to get it all at once. truck has 175k on her, so i might as well be safe than sorry.

To replace the oil pump drive, you have to remove the distributor, and that opens a whole new can of worms......

With that mileage, I would be tempted to go for the high volume pump. (makes up for loose bearings)
