Default figured out my vibration problem.....transmission HELP!

truck (1999 3500 dually 5.9l 360) started shaking really bad a couple weeks ago. took out the rear driveshaft and put the truck in drive and the whole driveline shakes. you can look under the truck and see it happen. what is going on in the transmission that it would make it shake so hard untill you reach 30/35mph. i dont even drive it past 40 cuz it shakes so bad. please please give me your opinion on what could be wrong with the transmission that would make it do this. i think its getting worse i dont want to blow it up

Is it the trans/t-case? Or, is it just a bad running engine? How do the mounts look?

Has it always done this? Or, is it a recent development? Changed the trans in recent history? Or torque converter??

Wonder if it tossed the weight off the torque converter...... something is out of balance. Does it make any rude noises??

If the whole "driveline" is shaking how do you know the "engine runs perfect" ? And it would be nice to know if it is 4wd or not. It would be even better if you put that/all info about the truck in your sig. This way we don't have to guess, and you don't have to type it in every time.

Go to your user CP, left side of black bar above. And now that we know it's a 4x4, you might have a transfer case problem. Download the 2001 service manual from the FAQ/DIY section for diagnostic tips.
