SCT Tuning and Seafoam.
Alright guys I'm starting this thread so anyone who has done the SCT tuning can help me out as I am a newbie to most electrical components on the dodge, eventhough I am a general electrician. Anyway, Just bought the SCT DCX "Can" tuning with 9550 tuner from HemiFeverTuning.com. He recommends seafoaming the system before tuning, so that will be done this weekend.
Here is my plan thus-far:
1)Seafoam 1/2 can into brake booster line slowly until stalling (add other half to gas tank???), Then turn it on, warm it up, and burn all the crap out.
2)Drive for a couple days and note how it has helped (205K miles and no cleaning other then Plenum Plate)
3)SCT Tune First 87 Octane tune, Fill up with 87, drive 300 miles, record MPG, and any response I feel.
4)SCT Tune 91 Octane tune, Fill up up with 91, drive 300 miles, record MPG, and any response I feel.
5)SCT Tune 93 Octane tune, Fill up with 93, drive 300 miles, record MPG, and any response I feel
Any suggestions from anyone on tuning, seafoaming, or anything I may encounter that has made you say "DOH" let me know please. Thanks guys! Hope you enjoy the show

Before you do the SCT, get an aluminum plenum plate and fix that first. Otherwise the tune will not make a difference if you have a blown plenum.

Guess you guys havent seen my massive thread:
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...500-sport.html
Things done:
Hughes Plenum Plate
New aluminum water pump
e-fan mod
new double roller rocker timing chain
thermostat
all new hoses everywhere
msd wires and ignition
edelbrock shorty ti headers
dual exhaust with magnaflow mufflers
new NGK o2 sensors
new temperature sensors for intake
herculine the bed
rear drums and springs
new front calipers and brakes and rotors
new distributor cap and rotor
optima red top
Rock Solid Ram Steering fix
all new shocks
new pitman and idler arm
4 new ball joints
new inner and outer tie rods
new tires
new rollpan
Anodized valve cover bolts and cleaned up and painted covers
CAI
Thats my 200,000 mile fix up.
Now for the tuning
front bumper
paint
transmission rebuild (eventually)
1.7 HS RR's
Back to the original question people. I said 205k and no cleaning OTHER then the plenum plate. I did my research on here and replaced it with a hughes kit . Just trying to get input on seafoam and SCT Tuning and looking for anything i may run into that may cause me headaches. Thanks again guys

doesn't the truck have to be on when you put it in the booster? do you slowly pour it in until it does stall and THEN crank it again?

thats what i was thinking. just threw me off when laramie said "until stalling (add other half to gas tank???), Then turn it on" like it was off in the first place
