how in the hell do you pull the harmonic balancer off!!!!

I was wrong, OP a three jaw puller is needed for a 2001.

Correct, page 9-156 of the 01 manual in the FAQ/DIY section. I suggest the OP downloads it, and gets a Haynes manual.

OOps, I got lost in this thread and posted some mis-information.

Yeah you need the 3 jaw puller for the 2001.

What are you installing? A new one piece pulley/dampener?

had to get it off to put the new timing chain in

i got it off after alot of cursing. came back cooled off n it slid right off with a puller. got the new double roller in all new seals and water pump the motor painted in blue. all the fire wall done in black and inner fenders. tomarrow my plenum plate comes in and i can put the intake back on. then the headers and ta da. done for now lol. i hope it runs better. ran good to begin with but. figured it do the plenum anyways
