I have a 99 ram 1500 5.9. Felt a big differance after the plenum repair. Make sure to do the 02 sensors too otherwise you wont notice it. I have my SCT on the way, I'll let you know what i think once it shows up in the next day or so. I have heard it sounds like a completly different truck.

If you do the timing chain and gears (which is recommended on a high mileage motor), the pump needs to come off anyway. They aren't that expensive, so, replacing it at the same time just makes good sense.

Kegger mod is effectively shortening the intake runners, by cutting them down an inch or so inside the plenum. Also, removing the center divider, but, that's not an issue for you, as your shouldn't have it anyway. Doing the mod just moves the power band up a couple hundred RPM. Considering how quickly the kegger intake runs out of steam (at about 4K RPM, drops off pretty bad...) doing the mod 'helps' in the upper RPM range some, without really compromising bottom end.

I think doing the timing set on my truck was THE best 'maintenance' item for improved power/driveablity I have done to my truck.

A good idea of what to do to your truck would be to look at everyones signature and pick out the most common mods listed. If that many people are doing it, it has to be good! Or marketing is paying off! Lol

4.10 gears gave my truck the most noticeable kick in the butt that it needed.

i noticed know one mentioned when they do the timing chain they don't put the timing chain tensioner upgrade in. my truck has the 3.91 gears going to 4.10 did you guys lose a bit of mpg on the highway. i know the 5.9 wasent the best on fuel to begin with and most trucks have the aerodynamics of a sheet of plywood.

When I did my timing chain, I didn't really see the need for the tensioner. The double roller feller is a bit more resistant to stretching so, I didn't worry about it. Granted, these are some of the longest timing chains I have seen in a motor that ISN"T overhead cam.....

Depending on what size tires you run, you may see mileage go UP with the deeper gears.
