98 ram motor and tranny swap

Any tips before I try to put this beast in should I pull the started off before I put them back in or just try to be careful

Not having the starter in place will give you a bit more clearance, are you putting the engine/trans in together?

You are still going to need a PCM for a v-8. Your current one doesn't know about those extra two cylinders, and it will get really confused.

I have a PCM for it just the wiring harness is kicking my *** I have it halfway sitting in the engine compartment buuttt I SHOULD have pulled the starter

And btw doing this with the motor and tranny setup hanging in the tree makes u wish u had a cherry picker
