Default fuel injection to carberated.

wut will i need and is it worth it. for anyone who knows im having probs with my computer frying.. just wondering if it be easier to change to carberated than deal wth this stuf i been going through?

Only thing worry with is the tranny.

i think he's say that in addition to controlling the fuel injection, timing, and idle, the pcm also controls the TC lock and Overdrive shift in the transmission.

it also controls the ASD shutdown of fuel pump, coil. it does voltage regulation from the alternator. speedometer and odometer in later models. evap canister stuff. the list goes on and on.

You can go on patc's website and they have a kit that you could put on the trans to control od without the computer and any armature shop can put an external regulator on your alternator.

Still need to figger out how to make the gauges in the dash work. I think when all was said and done, woulda been cheaper just to buy a whole new wiring harness for the PCM.

It would be cheaper to get a 72 power wagon. lol Not to mention, it is completely illegal. Fed not local..

A 35 dollar set of mechanical gauges would fix that. Screw the "MAN" lol. Ive thought about doing mine to open up my cam selections and easy tunabilty.

I'm sure the MPG's will be a lot better too. lol Whatever, this has fail written all over it for a street driven 97 Dodge Ram.
