I was just messin. Napa does have good parts though. I just don't go to my local one cuz owners and employees are a bunch of ***holes. The type that think they are doing YOU a favor by selling you THEIR parts.

I just hate franchise parts stores in general. Local shops run by old guys who know what a u-joint is are the ones to go to. Back home, Black diamond auto parts was the place to go. I could walk in, say "I need a pinion seal for my dana 60 in the back of my 72 dodge." Dennis wouldn't ask what motor, transmission, 4wd, air conditioning, interior color... none of that. He would walk back, grab the part, and sell it at a discounted price because he knew me. Nothin like that here in Shreveport, thats for sure...

I have been dealing with the same couple parts stores for the better part of two decades...... I get the "smiling customer" discount. Everyone there knows who I am. Most of the time, I don't even have to tell them what vehicle, they just ask me "Truck or Van this time?" Its great. The store? Advance Auto. Even the franchise stores can be good.
