I'm talking about the whole valve body assy with solenoids attached for $200. the OP can likely just have his valve body removed and cleaned without replacing anything as one of its passages may be plugged. I'm no transmission expert but it sounds like common sense to me?
FYI OEM governor pressere solenoid is not as good as borg warner upgrade avalible for $52.00... it offers 15% more flowing capacity than stock.

I can't believe it, but the saga continues. Service rep called me up around noon today and said everything was fixed and ready to go. Told me I needed to return the rental vehicle and come and get it. I had to pay another $128. They said, now, that it was the relay. Okay, so now all solenoids changed, relay changed, pan dropped, all supposedly checked out and nothing mechanical, fluid changed 3 times, a total of $1032, $100+ in gasoline, 16 hours of my time, and guess what? 20 miles down the road same code same problem !!!!!

Shouldn't I be able to have a functioning truck after all of this? Wouldn't you believe that the dealership, who is supposed to know most about their own vehicles, could have fixed it by now? I paid to have this done because of my age and physical ability, but now one whole month of my income is gone and I am no further ahead than I was a month ago.

Does anyone know any way for me to get this resolved, through that dealership?? They want me to take it back on Tuesday for another round, but they are just going to throw more stuff at it and charge me more money. I am tapped out, right now. I have much of it on a credit card that will take me many months to pay off. I don't know what to do right now.

BTW, P0753 is the ONLY code it has ever thrown through this entire process.

Have them remove and check the valve body for obstructions. That is what the tranny shop guy said caused my P0753.

Chrysler should have a customer service number that you can call, and bring up disputes with the service department. Given that you have cranked out a fair bit of cash, been back again, and paid yet MORE cash, were told the problem was fixed.... twice..... only to have the same problem rear back up, they should take care of you. I know GM customer service would contact the dealership, and basically tell them, "Do what ya gotta do to fix it, and do NOT charge the customer." I have seen it happen. (more than once....)

Try this number: 1-800-4ADODGE (423-6343) If nothing else, they should be able to put you in contact with the right folks.

And remember, be nice. Until it isn't helping any more, then be firm. If nothing else, you can dispute the charges on your credit card, but, that will require taking the truck to yet another shop, to have them diagnose the problem. (unless you have some mechanic certification, then you can be your own 'second opinion'.) Granted, you still have the same problem you have paid over a thousand dollars to get fixed.... so, you do indeed have a leg to stand on with dispute.

UPDATE: Kid's got classes tomorrow so it'll be afternoon before she can bug her husband about it. I'll update here when I hear something.

You're joking, right? Cold? In Flagstaff?

If you are from Texas, Flagstaff is cold. But from Colorado, Flagstaff is NOT cold. All about where you're from!

I'd be on the phone with them when they open tomorrow. Service Manager first, the General manager next. Then come Monday, I would light up the switchboard ath the Auburn Hills number. And I would call the credit card company tonight. You paid, it did not work.....If it is AMEX, the dispute would be recorded immediately, and they could contact shop next week. Also log every call, number called, person talked to, length and context of conversation, etc.

They jacked you, plain and simple. It isn't right.

I would think if that was plugged, I would not be able to drive the van, but I can. The code keeps setting, but the van works okay from 0 - 65. Maybe a little sluggish, but okay. It is over 65 that I notice it just needs to be 'pushed' on the gas to get it faster. Other than that, it shifts fine. Tested at 50 mph, going from OD on to OD off, shifted fine. So, wouldn't a valve body obstruction cause far more problems?

BTW, I hope I made it clear in my postings. This truck has never gone into 'limp mode' during all of this. It is just high speed (above 65 mph) seems winey and very sluggish.

The service manager drove it yesterday and said all was wrong, hence the rental car. Then drove it today and said all was right and totally fixed. As I said, 20 miles later P0753 comes back on.

I just looked closer at the bills and it has always been the same mechanic. Sheesh, I hate to have my truck be a 'teaching tool' for some inept mechanic.
