ARP sells different head studs for N/A applications they're only about 100 bucks

Girdle? No need for that.

Who's going to do all the work on the block? Lots of time and money there. Have you taken that into consideration?

I think the reason mine were expensive was because I needed smaller studs where the fastener was to get the rocker arms on my twisted wedge heads (Clearance issues). Never get heads from a ford aftermarket company for your chevy!!!

i am thinking the same thing.... A small shot of no2 should not blow the heads of the block or even if i do go with a procharger down the road i think i would be safe at the 4lb they make

In any case boosting an engine, reduces reliability. The more boost, the more risk you are taking.

Get studs, not the $1k set, the MUCH cheaper set. Studs are for many reasons, the better option.

If you are procharging it, you need the ARP studs for boosted apps. They are expensive. If you are juicing it you need them as well. WHY SKIMP?

The issue is not "blowing the heads off the block", fasteners stretch. Boost will eventually render ordinary studs incapable of holding the seal between the deck and heads.

Who's doing your machine work?
