Default I need more power and MPG! What after market parts do I need?

I have a 1998 dodge ram 2500 5.9 v8 4x4. I'm looking for more power and MPG. I wanted to know which parts I can put on my truck to accomplish this. Which brands work the best for this truck?

Yeah I have a flow master super 44 on it and a spectre cold air intake on it, but I'm only getting 10 MPG and I would just like more throttle response. I'd like to here about people that already put stuff on their 2500 5.9 and seen what worked and what didn't.

What are you getting for MPGs now? IIRC, 5.9L's average 10-13 mpg at best. Maybe, though I doubt very much a touch more.

I have the 5.2L and only get 12-13 mpg average. The best I've ever pulled off was 14.5-15 mpg.

And as far as power, search the forum. There's alot of threads on this. Also ones on MPG.

You won't get much better than 10 mpg.

And fixing the plenum will improve performance, reduce oil consumption, and maybe slightly help mileage along with new plugs wires and cap and rotor and timing set. But expecting much more than about 12 to 13 is not really very realistic. But running better is worth the investment.
