Lift related talk
I wasn't sure whether this belonged in the general discussion or here, but either way it's tech related so it won't hurt. My suspension is stock with factory blocks and springs. I got 33's under there on 16" rims with about 15 or so mpg. Stock gears too. I wanna know how big of a tire I can fit under the fenders (reasonably) without having to lift. The ones I got now scrub alittle btw. Also I wanna know how much it would kill my mpg to get the bigger tires. Any and all input is appreciate. Thanks guys.

so you're saying that unless I re-gear it, I will put a good bit of additional strain on the transmission that will wear it down abit. If I put 4.88s in there, will it run good with 35's and not strain the trans to much (or strain my luck with the gas milage)

Up to 3", you can do suspension lift fairly cheaply. Spacers up front, and blocks/AAL's in the back. I am not a fan of body lifts..... Since you have a 3/4 ton, you could prolly get away with 2" of lift, and still fit the 35's. (heavier trucks sit a couple inches taller than the half tons from the factory.)

you could do it with a body lift. I would normally be with HeyYou, but lets say you do the body lift first, and run 35's for a while, then later you could step up to a bigger suspension lift and run much bigger tires. if you do a little suspension lift now, then you will just end up throwing away those parts later (if you want more lift later).
That being said you would probably only need a 2 or 3 inch spacer up front, which they are very cheap(alot cheaper then a body lift). as for the back, no lift is necessary, but the truck will sit a little bit bulldog, but some people like that.
