HeyDrew, I heard that header wrap actually retains water and causes rust.

This may be a good thing.. it will give me reasonable excuse.. I paid over three bills for those trash hedman headers.. I was told they were the only ones that worked on the cali rig.. I was lied to. For the money I've spent on gaskets and fasteners, I could have bought two sets of ebay headers that are just as good..

I almost hope to.discover cracks or bends.. I just can't bring myself to give up on them yet, even though its unreasonable..

The remflex and stage 8's are the last stop before they join hoffa..

But, yes, wrap can cause rust.. bit it keeps the bay cooler, and more importantly, the exhaust stream warmer.. imah give it a shot to see..

i like the coil idea, try it, if it doesn't fix it just put the other one back on, and have a spare, cause it will be needed one day.

Well, eveything, at one point or another, works. The question is, does it work now. An ohm meter can be had for as little as $10 (harbor freight model).

Ok, two different manufacturers of coils...... (from the 01 manual.)

both are pretty similar though, basically, Primary circuit should be around 1 to 1.2 ohms. Secondary circuit should be around 11,300 to 15,300 ohms. (13,300 for the toyodenso coil.)

Edit: Ninjaed!
