It ran on the $30k computer for four hrs and they monitored everything when it was put in. Never a prob. I had two vacuum lines replaced on the emissions running down to the cylinder and square containers on the passenger side. They were basically nonexistent. That was causing it to idle really bad at operating temp. Had it smoked after but when I asked if they went through the emission lines the guy who did it wasn't there. Don't know if it all is connected when they do it.

I was told I can get a leakdown test pretty cheap. What's the procedure like?

A lot like a compression test.... Needs a specific gauge set. One gauge reads input pressure from the compressor, other gauge reads cylinder pressure. A little bit of math gives you the percent leakdown. (up to 25% is supposedly "acceptable".....) The best thing about it is, you can HEAR where the air leaks are at. (valves, or rings, even WHICH valve.)

So, they ran the engine for four hours, and didn't have a problem??

Yep no problems but that was when it was put in. They monitored everything. No issues. The guy who headed the job has the same truck and replaced his motor two years ago. said he did mine with more care since he knew what had to be done already. It ran great for a week then the vac lines acted up. They replaced those and said everything checked out fine. It ran good for another two weeks then started these symptoms. He's convinced its in the same region and they just missed something. Ive put a thousand miles on it. Drove it for long drives intentionally and put the miles on it to find problems early. He was convinced it was in the same system because it happens under the conditions i noted. It did the same when those two lines were bad. Its just strange to me that it clears within a minute. I was thinkin the computer isn't shifting between closed and open loop how its supposed to. Don't remember which is which but I did some reading on it. That's why im gonna check the o2. I'm pretty much stumped as you can prob tell lol I'm gonna just install the new injectors. Atleast I'll have two new ones in. Hopefully I can get it to them so they can fiddle with it while monitoring on a computer

installed new ones. they started to go in crooked, had to back out and push them into the rail first. i tried to just set it between and bolt it down but didn't work. luckily i had the orings lubed enough to allow my mistake lol. tightened everything down and will see how it operates in the morning. hopefully no fuel leakage. and even better, hopefully runs better. i have my doubts though

recap..ohm'd everything and seemed to be in spec. pulled 5 and 7, didn't look bad but replaced with new. part #s matched and looked identical. reassembled and broke two little red clips on the electrical connections but they still snap into place.

thanks for the assistance. hoping for the best, will post updates
