problems since plenum fix

I had removed the throttle body when I did the plenum so I replaced the gasket...I though maybe the throttle body of maybe I didnt get the intake on right but I dont see any oil leaks so idk.I hope it isnt the intske.I guess I'm gonna have to get a smoke test

You could do the TSB test for checking the plenum to make sure you don't have a bad plenum leak and check the intake manifold itself for vacuum leaks with an unlit propane torch, etc. That would at least help rule out a major fubar in doing the plenum repair. I'd triple check all the vac lines first. I don't know about the EGR system, my truck doesn't have it.

Did the test again plenum is fine,went around intake&throttle body with the propane&git nada.

Have you blocked the intake side of that pipe for EGR? If not, when EGR opens, you have a HUGE vacuum leak.

Ok did not know that,Ive been looking allover on how to correctly do an egr delete but I cant find nothing&have no idea what Im doing.

If you already have the exhaust side plugged, get an EGR block-off plate, remove EGR valve, install plate. Yer done. The plate blocks all the ports, so, no more vacuum leak.

ok Ill go fab up another plate&post back with the results

&before I forget do I need to cap off anyof the vacuum ports on the egr?

Just disconnect the main line from the manifold, and then plug the manifold port.
