Seems like I remaber a check valve on vac lines somewhere. If it is backwards it may cause issues, but I am betting a leak somewhere.
I had removed the throttle body when I did the plenum so I replaced the gasket...I though maybe the throttle body of maybe I didnt get the intake on right but I dont see any oil leaks so idk.I hope it isnt the intske.I guess I'm gonna have to get a smoke test
You could do the TSB test for checking the plenum to make sure you don't have a bad plenum leak and check the intake manifold itself for vacuum leaks with an unlit propane torch, etc. That would at least help rule out a major fubar in doing the plenum repair. I'd triple check all the vac lines first. I don't know about the EGR system, my truck doesn't have it.
If you already have the exhaust side plugged, get an EGR block-off plate, remove EGR valve, install plate. Yer done. The plate blocks all the ports, so, no more vacuum leak.
