I have a rebuilt transmission with like 200 miles on it... and a misfire issue that when the torque converter locks up causes the whole truck to shudder violently like its gonna shake itself apart... when I hit the overdrive button I know its working because I can see my rpms then jump back up and then the shaking almost completly goes away.... you might want to try doing the same thing to troubleshoot whether is a misfire or a transmission issue... trnasmission error codes do not turn the check engine light on and misfires do not always throw codes so...

Get a pair of plug wire pliers. Twist the boot to get 'em to break loose, and then pull. Works every time, and doesn't trash wires.

Codes can come up in any time frame. There is no set time.
