alright well i know this will cost some cash so it wont happen this week, But I want to get it done and get it done correclty. I can use google hahaha but if someone wants to send me a link towards the right direction that would be awesome.

Get something like a 200 amp alternator..... I do believe they are available. (and with the winch, you will like having it....)

Don't run the lights thru the PDC, run them directly from the battery. Will still have to upgrade the fuse in the PDC, as the feed wire for charging the battery goes thru that as well.

 

alright im typing some of this up on my computer. I need to start getting this done I probably dont need all these lights but i want to be able to use all 9 of my lights that are facing forward on some trails at night. without a problem

Not bad, not a bad price either for a Warn..... Doesn't talk about duty cycle on the solenoids though......

 

I'm running with two 130 watt lights and two 100 watt lights up front, two 55 watt reverse lights, cab lights and run a 9500# winch, not to mention an e-fan and a few other electric doo-dads. Running the stock 136A alternator but have two batteries, first is an automotive 750 CCA and the second of which is a marine cranking/deep cycle 750 CCA with 120 A/hr with a Stinger battery isolator.

I've yet to have an issue and have even winched with the engine off...

The Warn VR series are classified as "occasional use" winches and are made to compete better against the influx of Chinese made winches flooding the market. Still ALL US MADE, in Oregon. I'm not sure of the duty cycle of them, but I know there is talk around the Jeep forums that while no where near that of the Warn "Premium" & "Industrial" series winches, they are still about double most of the Chinese winches...

 

thats true that was 1 of a few I was looking at I like warn products but i dont want to spend 1000dollars for a great winch

I dont do serious mudding and trail runs. at least not at this point in time this is my daily driver dad bought it almost 5 years ago with 236,000 miles for 9,000. he put some money into and when i bought my 98 Jetta for 2000 for my first car He liked it and traded me that for the truck. Then last summer spent 1700 on it while I was working and now its a great reliable truck with 244,000 miles. eventually down the road im sure that stock engine wont last forever. but its been a great truck.
lets say together we have dumped close to if not more then 10,000 on this thing to fix it up. not worth it to a lot of people, But I wouldnt trade this truck

 

wow, im not sure if its the right winch for me,I may not use it tons when i first get it but i want something that will last as long as i take care of it

 

So get a remote mount for it, so when not in use, (or, prepared for immediate use) you can just take it off, and store it somewhere a little less abusive than hanging off the front of your truck.

 

So i have gone to a few different parts websites and looking up alternators for y truck. im finding only on up to 136amp output

until i ran across this from a few sites. it says 300% more output but does not say how many amps. or at least i did not see it. I'm going to keep looking but if anybody has a link with some high ouput alternators I could look at for pricing that would be extrememly helpful
