According to the FSM, you don't need to evacuate the system to change the switch.

I have never changed one on a Ram, but I have always lost refrigerant when changing on other vehicles. Wear gloves at least.....

So this one right?The parts store wanted to know if it was the oval or circle one.From what I could see it looked round...so that's what I orderd.Will have today.

I think it unscrews, but I am not sure. The ones I have changed did, but I have not changed on on these. Looking at the new one shoulld reveal the secret!

Check and see if you are getting voltage on the brown wire after the low pressure switch.
