okay i have a few questions.. with the timing set do you have to change the gaskets when you do the swap? same thing with the thermostat.. do you need any gaskets or anything else when you do the change that isn't included when i buy a thermostat?

Yes, need to front cover gasket set for the timing chain and gears. It will also come with a front main seal. You want the one withOUT the sleeve.

Same for the thermostat. There is indeed a gasket under there.

what diameter chain should i get? do i just get oem or does a different diameter chain make a difference in performance?

and just to be sure.. this comes with the seal for the front cover right?

Go with the .25 inch chain. (larger rollers=More durable, less stretch)

Yep, that gasket set comes with everything you need.

Cool thanks guys! I will probably resurrect this thread when it comes time do everything.. I might but my "build sheet" up here with links to all the parts I'll be buying before I do this and let you guys look at it all. Thanks again you've been a huge help especially with building my confidence making me understand everything so I know I can do it and if not then I can just get on here and get an answer within like twenty minutes lol
