Oil Pumps and My Plenum Mishaps
Not a lifter, I just changed out oil pump and pickup tube that was really clogged. I don't see how it could be exhaust
I know when I did my airgap I broke a couple plastic vac lines by the throttle body . Maybe double check . Also if plug wire army to tsb you may get some noise . Best way to check is to look under hood when its dark and see if there is sparks jumping
Here I made a video with the sound. I don't know if you can pick it out or not.

Find someone you TRUST to help you, have the put the truck in gear, and stand on the brake, while you go looking for the noise.....
Or, find someone you DON'T like, have them look for the noise while YOU hold the brake, then, run them over.... Honest officer, it was an accident.......

YOU are soooo bad!
I don't believe I have ever heard an oil pump running. If that's it, I would suspect something is wrong with it......
Maybe you can track it down better with a stethoscope.
I have no idea how to use a stethoscope, and the only noise present before the change was slight lifter click from lack of oil.
It just randomly started, haven't melling pumps been coming front the factory with bad parts or something? It's not even a high volume

All you do is put it in your ears....and put the metal tip against wherever you think the noise is coming from. It will amplify the noise. Move to other spots to see if noise is more or less. It will help narrow down the area the noise comes from. You can find them starting around $5.
Is that one of the braces that runs from the engine mount, to the bell housing? There aren't really any side loads on that, so, it will prolly last just about forever. Don't torque it incredibly tight though.
