Speedometer doesn't work, and no O/D
Yeah I kinda had that thought this morning. I'm probably just gonna drive it to my work for a few so I can put it on the lift before taking it home. Lol
There was a break in the black/light blue wire, I put that back together. And I had 8V at I believe it was the orange wire but i'll have to check again. If I remember right I also had like 5V on the white/orange but i'll recheck that once I get it to the shop.

Well I do have 8.5 volts at the orange wire with the key on, I do have continuity to ground on the black/blue wire with the key on or off, and I have about 5 volts to the white/orange wire when the wheels are moving, and I one of the codes I have is a code 15, which is no VSS signal. Any thoughts? Still no gauge, overdrive, or tcc lockup
That's a new VSS isn't it?? Same value whether wheels are turning or not? I would say it's bad...... or, the gear isn't engaging the drive on the output shaft of the trans....
Can you pull the VSS out of the trans, and spin the gear with a drill, or some such, and get a different value?

I wish I knew what the return "signal" actually was..... unfortunately, I don't have any documentation that tells me..... It might be a modified A/C signal....... and the pcm looks at the frequency. I just don't know....
EDIT: Yep, gonna need an O-scope to see what the output signal REALLY looks like. It's a pulse signal, frequency determined by vehicle speed. Great.
I suppose, the next trick would be to check and see if you are getting signal voltage back to the PCM......
