98 ram 1500 3.9L 5 speed Stalling
hey guys i own a 98 ram with only 128,000km on it and am having a stalling problem when i back out of a spot or when i come up toi a corner to idle last weekend i removed the throttle body and cleaned it and the top of the plenum. I also replaced the pcv valve. when i had the tb off i checked the inside of the plenum and there was a very little oil sitting in the valley pan. My covertor also sounds like the honeycomb is loose inside of it too so i am saving for that cause it costs like 400 dollars ffs. Anyways any ideas would be a huge help thanks guys

Did you pull the IAC valve, and clean out it's cavity in the TB? Did you disconnect the battery while you were working on stuff?
If your cat is clogging... that may be a cause as well. Do you have emissions testing there?
You should be able to get an aftermarket cat for a LOT less than 400 bucks.......

But I thought you could only get the oem convetor because of the oxygen senosor in the cat??? and thanks for the replys guys

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, and let the PCM reset all the base values on it's sensors, see if that helps.
Magna-flow makes direct fit cats four our trucks. (and they flow better than stock as well.) There is also an "off road" y-pipe, that has no cat.... but, does have the bungs for the two O2 sensors. (probably need to do the non-fouler trick on the rear O2, to avoid setting a code.)
It's possible that the IAC motor is just bad...... if cleaning/resetting doesn't cut the mustard, might wanna just replace it.
