Yeah, you need to be more worried about the plenum gasket and headgaskets.

A CTD turbo is not ideal and above 10ish PSI it isn't going to make much more power anyways.

I wouldn't go much over 7 on a stock motor, and I suspect, that give our intake manifold design...... even that might be pushing it.

hmmm..well I dont have the stock intake manifold nor the top end..hehe..check my signature for my mods list and as for head gasket i have Hughes engine rebuilt gasket kit which include FelPro head gaskets...7psi max all stock, what if i want to turbo mine (considering my mod list), would you guys think 12psi is safe?

If you trust the SCT boost band-aid and get a real turbo, sure.

SCT boost band-aid?? and what type/size of turbo would you recommend? Im looking for street power/torque. so im guessing having a turbo capable of providing power threw the entire power band is what i want.

The first issue with these PCMs is they only have 6 bins of MAP resolution, then when you add a 2BAR MAP, you're essentially cutting the resolution in half. My Megasquirt computer will go from 8x8 to 16x16 tables.

Next is what's called open loop delay, there is a time delay (and it cannot be changed) from when you smash the throttle and when the computer goes into open loop, when under boost this can be very bad, so the "fix" is to run in open loop all the time, which also sucks.

The next problem comes from having others tune your truck, usually someone thousands of miles away.

People can and have run boost like this but it sucks. Why skimp here when something much better isn't much more money.

I visited MegaSquirt's webpage and read their Turbo Charging section and WOW! there is a lot to Turbo Charging! The piping is easy, but the tuning is where it got my legs. According to their article I will need a Megasquirt computer, 2 Bar MAP (wich i think its already included in the computer) and a wide band 02 sensor.
Tuning wise, Having a tuner that is not local (i.e Hemifever) will make things a bit complicated. I wouldnt mind learning how to tune it my self, though it will take some time to learn. (got all summer to learn).
Weeeeell...looks like i got my work cut out for me lol
