Default Valve covers

Im getting a .512 lift cam and .515 valve springs. Will I have to get taller vale covers?

What rockers are you using you should be fine if you stick with stock configuration

.003 clearance before coil bind? That would make me nervous......

How are valvesprings rated? Do they bind at .515 or are they safe for use with up to .515?

I think they hit coil bind at the rated value. I would verify that with the manufacturer though... there might be some built in clearance there as well..... but, I would wanna make DAMN sure I had at LEAST .007 before hitting the upper limit. Some folks suggest even more.....

They're goin on a 318 magnum. Im using stock 1.6 rockers.

The heads I'm getting with the springs installed are the Odessa iron ram heads

I would definitely have a chat with 'em, and see if there is any leeway in those numbers. If not, go for bigger springs..... better safe than spending more money on a bent pushrod, and whatever other carnage it causes.
