Default coil spacers

Truck is a 99 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.9l. The previous owner installed 2500 coil springs in the front which gave me 1.5" lift based on measurements from my truck to three stock trucks. He also added a leaf in the rear, and i would like to level the truck. I was wondering if there would be any problem with using a 1.5 coil spacer on the top of the 2500 springs to get 3" of lift. I plan on buying the lower skyjacker control arms designed for 3" lifts.
I priced 3" lift springs at 300 dollars and do not want to spend that much money to only gain and 1.5".

Should work just fine. You don't really HAVE to do the control arms at 3"....

The 3" Fabtech lift on my truck came with the control arms. I don't really know if they are necessary like HeyYou said but I thought I would add that.

Really? I thought you needed to do the lower control arms at 3" but if i didnt that would save about another 300 dollars. Are there people running stock control arms on 3"?

Ramitt360 do you know if your stock control arms and the ones that came in the kit were different lengths? Also if you might be able to measure the eye to eye length of your fabtech control arms that would very greatly appreciated.

I have 2500 diesel coils which i netted 3'' of lift and no you do not need to replace control arms with 3''. I believe anything after 3'' will have the axle not centered and you will wear all your front end parts fast.

Yes i am..... No problems from me besides the death wobble but that isnt just because of my lift haha I would do what i did and get cummins coil springs the ride is a little stiffer but i dont mind and i like the look of ALL coil spring i had 3'' lift spacers but they are cheesy looking IMO and i painted them red so they look just like skyjacker lift coil springs.
