Thats why the limited slip doesn't work anymore

I think the truck that blew them apart had a rear D44, behind a V-8, and 37" tires...... Combine that with hard wheelin', and it isn't really surprising he blew them apart.
If you have an LSD, you WANT that friction modifier in there. Otherwise, you eat clutches, and it turn itself into an open rear.... at best....

Got some parts for the 9.25 axle:
Motive gear 4.10 ring and pinion
Motive gear master install kit with timken bearings
Detroit True Trac
Going to have it installed next tuesday
Going to be regearing the front later. I was looking at motives gears and they only offer 4.09 for the D44, will i have to go with another company to get the same 4.10 ratio to match the rear axle?

Bought the few tools I needed that I didn't have for far less than what labor would have cost and now it's a done deal. Reinstalled the rear about a month ago and all's well.
I've heard too many stories of guys paying a shop, only to have to go back in and redo the job over themselves. This way I know for sure it's been done right. If you're wondering about the reinstall part, I took the rear end out of the truck to work on it. A little more work, but all I have at the moment is a gravel driveway to work in.
