X2. It's not the modified TB that causes a loss in mpg...it's the brain telling the right foot to play with right pedal more because of the increase in throttle response and hp. Control the right foot and the increase in mpg will be there.

Probably won't noticeably change fuel economy. You are just shuffling the power band around. That's it.

More power down low means less engine strain at lower rpms. So by my thinking, the kegger mod would cause mpg's to decrease. Just a theory, I left mine stock.

Any hardware store. Grade five or better. Or, just pick up some washers to use with the stock bolts. Don't forget the Blue Loc-tite on 'em.

I've also read that you can cut the factory bolts down a little bit since they are not TTY bolts.

The bolts are NOT the issue, but why cut the bolts when you can go buy 15 grade 5 bolts 1/4-20 1/2" in length for about 2 bucks.
Intake bolts are not really TTY either when torqued to a whopping 12 ft lbs, while at hardware store just buy some stainless bolts with stainless lock washers, you can reuse them over and over.
That way when your steel plate pushes the gasket out you will not have to but intake bolts again...
