These are 36x13.5x16.5 Interco IROCK's on Stazworks dual beadlock wheels.

It JUST fit with now much room to spare.

The StazWorks wheels are some pretty KEWL rims. He makes them in about any size you want from 15" up to 22" or even larger for 2 1/2 axles or Brush Fire rigs. I learned about StazWorks when I was in Iraq. One of the gun truck had them on it and they hit an IED one day. Other than scratching the paint on the rims they help up really good.

Here's hoping that where you plan on going in the future, IED's are NOT a part of the trail.......

JEEP TJ STEERING BOX ROTATION KIT: Jeep TJ Steering Box Rotation Kit 97-06 Wrangler TJ/LJ TNT Customs | Jeep Aftermarket Parts | TNT Customs

Yesterday I started working on this kit. You have to remove the front crossmember to install it. Not really that hard with a hot butter knife (plasma cutter) So here it is WITH the crossmember.

And then with it gone.

Then it was time for a lot lot lot of grinding.

And more and mote grinding.

Cleans up fairly well.

Both frame rails done.

What this kit does is it replaces the crossmember which allows you to rotate the steering box and this allows you to push the axle forward 1-3". To do this you have to cut out a 2" section on the front of frame.

The new crossmember is a 2" piece of tubing.

Both frame rails were notched.

Test fitting the crossmember

Then slapped the new end plates on for a test fit. I needed to push it in a little more.

This is where it need to sit so I pulled back apart so I could paint the insides of the plates and the frame with weld thru primer.

Had to take my dog to the vet today so this was as far as I got.. Tomorrow I'll get all the welding done.

Looking good Rick. I'm like seeing the rest of the build also. It's more ideas for other projects.

The StazWorks rims Welcome to Stazworks extreme offroad web presence! I have a 9' x 16.5" because prior to getting these rims I was running hummer dual beadlocks. The rims are made out of steel so they AREN'T light, I'd guess about 50lbs for each wheel. I just bought the IROK tires this summer to replace my old TSL SX tires that were over 10 years old. A buddy from the Jeep forum I'm on had to switch rims due to an axle change on his Jeep and had a set of Poison Spyder Spyder Lock rims. HOME | spyderlock (spyderlockwheel.com) that I bought off him. So now I'm gunna switch to a 17" rim instead of the 16.5" rims which OPENS up a huge variety of tires I can choose from compared to the limited selection with the 16.5" tires.

I am running Milestar Patagonia M/T in a 40 and I must say they are killer off-road. I also DD it sometimes and they rock in the snow and rain. There was a Jeep running black label tires and the rocks were slippy and he had to winch up them. I went right up then with open diffs. Maybe next time check them out I got 5 for $1350 from Discount Tire Direct.

I got my new rim in. One of the great things about these are that since they were used I won't have to go thru that crying phase the first time I rub them against some rocks.

The rims came with Rapid Air valves for dropping the air pressure quickly and also to refill quicker.

They also came with wheel spacers that I might end up using to move the tires away from the frame & control arms. These rims already only have 3.5" backspacing so I might not need the spacers but it's nice to have them if needed.

Working on the Jeep and I needed to install taller shock towers so that I can run a 12" travel shock. A buddy who has a plasma table had designed his own towers and made me a pair.

They are some great looking shock towers.

How the shock towers will sit on the Jeep.

Since the 6 pack intake didn't have all the vacuum ports that I needed I ordered a vacuum port tree from HiPoTek.
