Man this rebuilt engine just seems to be kicking my BUTT.....
Now I've got oil being blown into the exhaust and I'm not sure as to why or how yet.
One suggestion I've gotten was to check for too much crankcase pressure? Any other thoughts or ideas?
Got my old set of valve covers cut up and ready to install tomorrow and hopefully get the rockers adjusted properly.
Had to remove the baffles from inside the covers too.
Then it wasn't a NEEDED item as I already had a Snap On MT2500 but I got a great deal on a Solus scanner so I picked it up. Like the screen better and it's easier to navigate the menu.
So I guess at some point I'll be selling my old MT 2500 scanner.
That seems like a lotta oil leaking out there...... Got some pinholes in the exhaust?
Everything on that motor is new...... and I can't think of where that much oil could possibly be coming from. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check crankcase pressure, and see what it says. Ideally, there should be a bit of vacuum on the crankcase at idle.

Yep I've got some pin holes in my exhaust that need to be fixed. I was totally BUMMED about that.
I honestly can't figure out where that oil is coming from. The crankcase pressure is normal so that isn't the problem. It's something else but I don't know why. Right now I've decided to just not worry about it but instead get the rest of the Jeep put back together so I can drive it and then figure out what is happening.
Yeah, that sounds like a plan. See what oil consumption is like, go from there.
Do you have a mopar, or aftermarket PCV valve? I would think that with the catch can, oil should NOT be getting to the intake via PCV though...... That ones a real head scratcher.

Might be tempted to get a Mopar PCV. They were like 8 bucks last time I bought one. I doubt it will solve your problem though. The mopar valves actually have the correct flow rate. Same can't be said for the most aftermarket valves.

I'd have to see if I can get the correct grommets for the valve covers to fit a stock PCV. The number I had is discontinued.
