your truck weighs 3 and a half tons? that might be your problem right there. my truck is not legally allowed to weigh more than 3 ton when it is fully loaded and weighs less than 2 ton normally.

I think these trucks can get great mileage (for what they are) if you drive like grandpa... There's a member or two here that have proved that theory.....

I want to look at my paperwork for some reason I think my truck is around 6400 pounds, I think. I do baby my truck, 60 mph plus I did a bunch of stuff to help it along. Aside from the plenum the single not argueable mpg maker was the electric fans. Before those I was getting low 15's the other thing was ditching my shell.......despite what everyone says I got another 2 mpg from that, I do not know why maybe loosing 200 lbs maybe some aerodynamics I just do not know.
