don't kick yourself. sometimes you just have to throw in the towel and take it to a pro. look on the bright side - its fixed and you learned a lot.

Hey mcweaver, how did you go about removing the egr tube? After you break the fitting loose was there enough flex or slack in the tube to put it to the side or did you have to take the other end of the tube loose where it mounts to the downpipe on the passenger side to remove the tube completely?

His is a 98. No EGR. should be able to just sorta push it back a bit, to keep it out of the way though.

Thanks man. I was reading the sticky about plenum thread and i dont remember seeing anyone posting about that except one poster said not to take the tube loose at the downpipe because those two little bolts always break off.

I had no idea there wasnt no egr lol. Thanks again.
