Make sure you are getting power back there before simply replacing it. Keep in mind, that unless the engine actually starts, you will only get power for a few seconds. Power should come in on the dark green with black trace wire.

IT LIVES!!!! apparently it was a loose connection on the fuel pump.
Thank you all for the help and ideas. I guess now all i have to do is plan for the plenum and Ypipe.

i'll be watching the oil pressure and level and try to save up for the plenum and y-pipe (rather than just put on a credit card, have too many of those as it is) Thanks again.

You gotta be the luckiest guy in the world!

Go buy a lottery ticket! People do NOT get this lucky more than once!

You got lucky because the connection to the fuel pump failed causing your truck to die. Had that not happened, you most likely would have had the engine locked up.

But do not press your luck. Find and fix the oil consumption/leak issue. I would recommend checking the oil EVERY day BEFORE you start it each day.

I am glad you got the one problem fixed, and did not suffer a catastrophic engine failure.

Yeah, too bad the next day the fuel pump was whining really loud and gave out. new pump and i check the oil everyday before work. got the plenum plate, just need the gaskets and the time to do it. But for now its working, and making me money. Thanks again.
