Well after you do the compression test see how everything comes back. Ive never run anything besides 10-40 in my Rams and Ive never had an issue. It could be worth a shot to switch and see if that helps at all.
DLyter I will go buy some more see if that thickens it up .. I think that zinc additive broke up alot of sludge I haven't replaced the oil pump or pick up in about 8 yers
Fingers crossed then .. Do you thing the temp gauge being 200 instead of 180 an the oil fluctuating a little bit from 20 to 40 could be all one problem? Also my gas guage is always on E haha non related
200 is not an issue.....is this while idling or driving down the highway? If parked and idle, you will not stay around 180 very long.
It goes to 180 efan kicks on then slowly climbs to 200 and stays there at idle and a very little above diring driving.i noticed when I was towing the temp actually went down to 180
Its original radiator it's the efan 180 it is adjustable for different temps but it's only got one speed kickass fast till idle where thr my hid and underdrive pulley take me to about 10 amps .. No worries there I'm buying the 180 amp high output alternator verysoon
Well I used the mech guage and.... 20-25 idle and 55-60 at 3000 rpm so that beIng said all is well. Worries set aside .. Next tackle that clogged lifter thanks fellas
