But question is did you have the same sort of problem we describe; stopped; foot off break; no gas; just let it creep.. whole truck shake shake shake..

 

Don't get me wrong I used the whole bottle too...I just went by all those words on the can and the part that said 1/3 of a pint via a vac line. No biggie whatever works for ya. I think it says to let it sit for 5 mins after application too..maybe that's why it didn't produce smoke...like I said there's no OF on my rigs PS, can't speak for durangos tho..

 

My wife drives the truck and... well... she is just a woman. So there wasn't a problem to her until it finally died. I don't know how it was acting for her. But it was a tremble and a little shake when it idle off in reverse for me. It took around fifteen minutes or so for it to take the whole can and the smoke to thin out, about 2/3 through before the smoke started. Didn't even think about the words on the can... I'm bad about that sometimes. That letting it sit for a few minutes might work better. Who knows.

 

well when it comes down to it if it fixed the problem who cares right..

 

My next attempt to resolve the shudder issue will be the crankshaft position sensor replacement..will post results...

 

If it was running smooth before the plenum fix, and then missing after the plenum fix, the crank sensor isn't going to solve it.

 

no, it was doing it long before the plenum repair...

 

Ah. That's a bit different then.

If you can.... have a look at the flywheel. Specifically, the open spots the crank sensor uses to read when its a good time to fire a cylinder.

 

What is he/us looking for specifically?

 

Crap accumulating on the sensor itself, and in the slots that it reads. (dirt shouldn't matter.... metallic crap WILL.)
