From what I hear it's a sort of a pain to swap out..If I do/can check out those sensor points it would be when I drop the oil pan..not sure when that will be tho...But the CKPS/flywheel so makes sence being the problem..got all my fingers and toes x-ed ;D

The sensor is a hall effect device combined with an internal magnet. On a 5.9 V8 motor the flywheel/drive plate has 8 single notches, spaced every 45 degrees at it's outer edge. The notches cause a pulse to be generated when they pass under the sensor. Those pulses are input into the PCM and for each engine revolution there are eight pulses generated for a V8 engine...(the two mounting bolts are hex heads)

I've also heard transmission fluid done the same way, or poured through the carb, might free a stuck ring(for the 'been sitting awhile' motors). If there are "side effects" to a whole bottle at once then DO NOT follow my example. But as of yet, I see no problems.
I always rum the whole bottle through as well, since thats what the directions say to do.

Maybe its possible your torque converter has gone bad. Ive seen it happen 3 times in my life but anything is possible with these darn things.
