Just a heads up, when you go to change the rear leaf springs the drivers side is a PITA to do. You have to drop the gas tank to get to one bolt, fun.

Where would you have put the gas tank?

How about simply putting the bolt in from the other side? Or would that have been too much work for the line worker to remember that bit?

Well I thought about welding the nut on the inside of the frame but as it's a leaf-spring bolt I figured this was not a good idea, things can be a bit** at the best of time to get out.

My truck also leans toward the driver side. When I went under it I saw that I had a broken leaf spring. At some point I want to replace the leaf springs on both side. Mainly comes down to $$$$.

i looked at that again. my leaf spring bolts are a big torx head, maybe T45, T55. it looks like you might be able to get a torx socket on the end of a pull bar, and slip it in from the top, or inside the frame channel from the front or back. then put an air wrench on the nut and zip it off. maybe.

leaf springs sure are expensive

Maybe it's a 4x4 thing. I removed the leaf spring on the drivers side and aside from losing a lot of knuckle and backhand skin, no difficulties. I was adding some add-a-leafs, though. So far the springs have held up to everything I've thrown, scooped or dumped in the bed.
