Ok, the odometer trick just tests the cluster. Doesn't give PCM codes. Key trick doesn't seem to work on the 98's either... (so far as I know.) Need to plug a scanner in, and see what it has to say.

+1.... need a scanner for 98's and some real early 99's.

Update!
Been screwing around with some things the last couple days with no luck...Until today!
Opened my fuse panel up in the engine bay and wiggled the big inline plug and noticed it wasn't very tight. Took it off and looked fine, tightened it back up, hooked up the battery again the she fired right up. Hoping that was it!

Its the big plug with the bolt holding it down. Says Engine Inline on the Cover
