Yeah sorry misunderstood ya. Prolly a lot like installing a torque converter, gotta twist it around until it drops some and repeat as necessary until its all the way on

Is the transmission mount attached to this accidentaly removed housing? If so, then you have O/D unit off as HeyYou suspected.

That's why I suggested photos. If OD unit is off, someone is sooo screwed....

If the O/D is off why would it screw ya...I'm having the same issue this guy is.

You should start your own thread, and detail your problem, what you have tried to correct it, and most importantly, what you are driving. This is a six year old thread, and most of the folks that posted in it, aren't even around any more.

It will be either the park rod or the direct clutch pack in the housing are not align. Direct clutches are the overdrive clutches.
