No noise from the fuel pump...

Default No noise from the fuel pump...

Truck won't start. No power getting to the fuel pump. Checked relays/fuses and everything else.


Help!

If the pump isn't priming and the relay is good then probably a bad pump..

But the pump can't work unless power is getting back there correct?

Did you check to make sure NO power is getting to the pump? Or are you just assuming because you cant hear it?

We've checked all the wires going to it and no voltage.

Did you replace/swap the relay with another one? ASD and fuel system relays right? And do you have the service manual from the FAQ/DIY section so you can trace wires all the to the PCM ?

Check the relays, and check to make sure the Relay is getting voltage! If not it could be a bad supply wire, or else a bad PCM..

He says he checked the relay(s) I'm wondering how they were checked.

Best way to check is honk the horn and if that works take out the horn relay and put it in place of the suspicious relay. Have a friend come over, check the relays, and check the fuses JUST TO BE SURE... I find a extra pair of eyes really helps...
